Pokemon Ruby Sapphire Post-Game Guide

Hall of Fame onward. This phase covers the S.S. Tidal, Battle Tower, Steven’s Beldum, the roaming Eon Pokemon, Rayquaza, the Regi puzzle, optional dungeons, and Pokedex cleanup.

Ruby/Sapphire’s post-game is smaller than Emerald’s, but there are still several important cleanup goals.

Littleroot TV Report

After the credits, you return home. Watch the TV report. This unlocks the roaming Eon Pokemon: Latios in Ruby and Latias in Sapphire.

Roamers are annoying because they flee immediately and move routes whenever you change areas. If you saved the Master Ball, this is one of the best uses for it.

Steven’s Beldum

Go to Steven’s house in Mossdeep City after becoming Champion. He leaves behind a Beldum for you. Beldum eventually evolves into Metagross, the ace that just tested you in the Champion fight.

This is the cleanest post-game gift and should be one of the first things you collect.

S.S. Tidal And Battle Tower

The S.S. Tidal begins sailing after the Hall of Fame. It connects Slateport and Lilycove and eventually gives access to the Battle Tower.

The Battle Tower is Ruby/Sapphire’s main repeatable battle facility. It is simpler than Emerald’s Battle Frontier, but it is still the post-game place to test trained teams, items, and movesets.

Latios Or Latias

Ruby gets Latios. Sapphire gets Latias. The roamer appears randomly across Hoenn’s routes after the TV report. After you have seen it once, use its Pokedex Area screen to check its current route.

If you are not using the Master Ball, bring a fast Pokemon with Mean Look or another trapping strategy, status support, and patience. Do not knock it out unless you are intentionally skipping the capture.

Rayquaza And Sky Pillar

Rayquaza is available at Sky Pillar after the main story. The tower requires careful bike movement and strong wild encounters, so bring Repels, healing, and the Mach Bike.

Rayquaza is Lv. 70 in Ruby/Sapphire, far above the Champion’s team. Save before the encounter. Ice moves are dangerous if you are trying to catch it, so weaken carefully or use the Master Ball if you saved it.

The Regi Puzzle

The Regi quest is the most puzzle-heavy side objective in Hoenn. You need Relicanth, Wailord, Dig, Dive, Surf, and patience with Braille clues.

The basic chain is:

1. Catch Relicanth underwater and Wailord by evolving Wailmer or catching one later.
2. Go to the Sealed Chamber through the ocean current routes.
3. Use Dig at the first Braille wall.
4. Put Relicanth and Wailord in the required party positions for your game step.
5. Trigger the earthquake that opens the three ruins.
6. Catch Regirock in the Desert Ruins, Regice in the Island Cave, and Registeel in the Ancient Tomb.

Pokedex And Version Completion

Ruby/Sapphire cannot complete everything alone. Trade with the opposite version for exclusives like Lotad/Seedot lines, Sableye/Mawile, Seviper/Zangoose, Lunatone/Solrock, and Latias/Latios. You may also need trade evolutions and starters from other saves.

Phase 10 Checklist

• Watch the TV report at home after entering the Hall of Fame.
• Collect Beldum from Steven's house in Mossdeep.

• Climb Sky Pillar and catch Rayquaza.
