Y exclusiveHeracross on Route 12. Bug/Fighting. Mega Stone (Heracronite) post-game. Heracross is significantly stronger in-game — its Bug/Fighting STAB combo is incredible coverage, and Megahorn at Lv 35 is a 120-power Bug nuke.
RecommendationIf you're on Y, catch a Heracross now and slot it into your team — it's one of the strongest Phase 4–8 picks. If you're on X, Pinsir is fine but slightly weaker; Wonder Trade for a Heracross if you want both.

★ Skiddo ranch: The mid-route Skiddo ranch lets you ride Skiddo through the grass section. Skiddo plows through tall grass without triggering wild encounters AND it lets you skip past trainers without engaging. Use it if you're rushing; don't use it if you want full XP.
