Version discipline
Rows merge only when Diamond and Pearl are identical, and each row carries D/P game markers. Version-exclusive species, mascot encounters, swarms, Radar slots, and GBA insertion slots keep their own labeled rows.
Route Plan
Sweep both Route 214 lanes; collect berries, visible items, and Dowsing spots; enter Ruin Maniac Cave; record the current tunnel stage; catch more Unown in Solaceon before returning for later stages; continue to Valor Lakefront.
- The tunnel length changes with the number of distinct Unown forms caught. At 26 letter forms it reaches the chamber containing Unown ! and ?.
- Hippopotas is available in the cave, with its encounter space expanding as the digging project advances.

Puzzles, Warps, And Switches
- Route 214's fence lanes reconnect through Cut gaps. Clear the western trainer lane first, then the eastern grass and cave entrances to avoid backtracking.
- Treat each Ruin Maniac stage as a state of the same tunnel; do not present Stage 1, 2, and 3 as three independently visitable dungeons.

Completion Checklist
- Complete the currently reachable part of this route plan: Sweep both Route 214 lanes; collect berries, visible items, and Dowsing spots; enter Ruin Maniac Cave; record the current tunnel stage; catch more Unown in Solaceon before returning for later stages; continue to Valor Lakefront.
