Learn Battle Point streak rules, choose Singles or Doubles, recruit stat trainers for Multi Battles, and challenge Tower Tycoon Palmer. This standalone section joins the route plan to the original Diamond/Pearl map, encounter, trainer, item, and script data; Platinum tables are not substituted.

Version discipline
Rows merge only when Diamond and Pearl are identical, and each row carries D/P game markers. Version-exclusive species, mascot encounters, swarms, Radar slots, and GBA insertion slots keep their own labeled rows.
Route Plan
Collect the Point Card; inspect the exchange counter; build a legal three-Pokemon Singles team; begin a seven-battle set; challenge Palmer on the 21st Singles win; continue toward the second Palmer battle at win 49; spend BP only after checking the full prize list.
- The source's overworld trainer ID 826 is only a placeholder header with a test party. Palmer's real teams come from Battle Tower trainer records 305 and 306 plus facility Pokemon sets 469/476/481 and 948/949/950; the placeholder is never rendered as an opponent.
- Battle Tower battles grant no experience or ordinary prize money. Most Pokemon are set to Lv. 50 under facility rules, with species and item restrictions enforced.
- Cheryl, Mira, Riley, Marley, and Buck become selectable computer partners for Multi Battles after completing their Eterna Forest, Wayward Cave, Iron Island, Victory Road, and Stark Mountain escort events, respectively. Their Tower pairs are drawn from facility rosters rather than their one-Pokemon story teams.
- Cheryl, Mira, and Riley can therefore be available on the immediate post-Hall-of-Fame, pre-National-Dex Tower visit. Marley and Buck wait for their National-Dex-gated escort areas.

Wild Pokémon
No random wild encounter archive or curated static/gift row applies to this section. This is expected for some buildings, story rooms, and Gym interiors.
Trainers
Field order follows the map's object-event order. Full teams include explicit held items and moves when trdata defines them; cash rewards use the in-engine final-party-slot level and trainer-class multiplier formula.
No trainer object, scripted battle, or assigned boss team is sourced for this section.

No type-2 hidden-item event is present in the source maps assigned to this section.
Puzzles, Warps, And Switches
- A streak is saved between seven-battle sets but ends on a loss or disconnection. Singles Palmer appears at battles 21 and 49; prepare distinct answers for both scripted rosters.
Boss Strategy And Partners
Tower Tycoon Palmer — Singles battle 21Battle Tower trainer 305 • sets 469 / 476 / 481All three are Lv. 50 with 31 IVs. The facility samples the roster without replacement, so the lead and order are not fixed.
Full Lv. 50 roster
RhyperiorExpert Belt • Lightning Rod or Solid Rock (personality-dependent slot) • Quiet nature • EVs 255 Attack / 255 Special Attack • IVs 31 in every stat • Rock Wrecker / Ice Beam / Thunderbolt / Flamethrower
MiloticSalac Berry • Marvel Scale • Timid nature • EVs 255 Defense / 255 Speed • IVs 31 in every stat • Hydro Pump / Dragon Pulse / Recover / Hypnosis
DragoniteWide Lens • Inner Focus • Adamant nature • EVs 255 HP / 255 Attack • IVs 31 in every stat • Dragon Rush / Aqua Tail / Iron Tail / Stone Edge
Danger notes
Rhyperior mixes physical and special coverage, Milotic can recover and put a counter to sleep, and Dragonite's Wide Lens makes four powerful but imperfectly accurate attacks much steadier.
Practical counters
Carry a fast Grass or Water answer for Rhyperior, strong Electric or Grass pressure for Milotic, and Ice coverage for Dragonite. Because the lead is random, avoid a plan that loses immediately to one member.
Tower Tycoon Palmer — Singles battle 49Battle Tower trainer 306 • sets 948 / 949 / 950All three are Lv. 50 with 31 IVs. The facility samples the roster without replacement, so the lead and order are not fixed.
Full Lv. 50 roster
HeatranBrightPowder • Flash Fire • Quiet nature • EVs 170 HP / 170 Attack / 170 Special Attack • IVs 31 in every stat • Explosion / Magma Storm / Dark Pulse / Flash Cannon
CresseliaLeftovers • Levitate • Bold nature • EVs 255 HP / 255 Defense • IVs 31 in every stat • Calm Mind / Moonlight / Psychic / Shadow Ball
RegigigasChople Berry • Slow Start • Adamant nature • EVs 255 HP / 255 Attack • IVs 31 in every stat • Crush Grip / Ice Punch / Stone Edge / Brick Break
Danger notes
Heatran can trade itself with Explosion, Cresselia can become unbreakable after Calm Mind and Moonlight, and Regigigas can outlast Slow Start with its bulk and Fighting-resist Berry.
Practical counters
Use Ground into Heatran, Taunt or strong physical Dark/Ghost pressure into Cresselia, and repeated Fighting damage into Regigigas. Preserve a win condition instead of trading recklessly with Heatran.
Completion Checklist
- Complete the currently reachable part of this route plan: Collect the Point Card; inspect the exchange counter; build a legal three-Pokemon Singles team; begin a seven-battle set; challenge Palmer on the 21st Singles win; continue toward the second Palmer battle at win 49; spend BP only after checking the full prize list.
- Review all 0 encounter rows across the per-area tables, including game markers, method band, time-of-day rates, levels, and each conditional requirement; mark conditional rows for their stated revisit.
- Defeat or deliberately skip every currently reachable trainer row; leave HM-, story-, or National-Dex-gated rows checked only after their access requirement is met.
- Collect currently reachable visible/scripted items and berry trees, use the Dowsing Machine for reachable hidden rows, and retain every explicitly gated row for the named cleanup visit.
- Resolve every currently available puzzle note, boss branch, and partner scene before opening the next section.
Sources And Validation
pret/pokediamondat commit038cccaed5de8f013875bc5d734f912d1de08e0f:map_header.c, D/P encounter archives, trdata.json, zone events, script archives, item tables, and trainer graphics.- Encounter slots were decoded from exact 424-byte D/P members and cross-checked against Gen IV slot behavior; the 0x6C pair is day, morning uses base slots, and 0x74 is night.
- Coordinates remain visible as QA anchors, while each hidden row also provides a plain-English map-region instruction.
- Generation-wide systems that are not tied to a normal map archive—Honey Trees, Great Marsh daily rolls, Trophy Garden, fossils, Pal Park, and event items—are explicitly curated in their dedicated system pages.
