Complete Celadon, Pewter, Seafoam, Cinnabar, and Viridian.

Phase Route

1. Celadon City and Gym — Erika — Complete the Department Store and cut through the floral Gym.
2. Routes 7-8 and 11-15 — Sweep the central and southeast Kanto trainer network.
3. Radio restoration, Snorlax, and Diglett's Cave — Return the Machine Part, obtain EXPN, and open western Kanto.
4. Viridian, Routes 2-3, Viridian Forest, and Mt. Moon — Clear Viridian, the western forest, and Silver's Mt. Moon battle.
5. Pewter Gym — Brock — Collect the Silver or Rainbow Wing and defeat Brock.
6. Routes 16-18 and Cycling Road — Clear every biker and the west-coast item pockets.
7. Routes 19-21 and Seafoam Islands — Surf the southern sea and solve the new Seafoam cave.
8. Cinnabar and Blaine — Meet Blue and defeat Blaine in Seafoam's Gym.
9. Viridian Gym — Blue — Route the spinner maze and earn the final badge.
